A Walk to Remember  T his is  a very emotional and bittersweet movie. It tells a tragic tale of love between two unlikely people. It doesn't feel forced. Even Side characters have an arch and a chance to redeem themselves. The movie is very well-paced. The story flows seamlessly. In the third act,  a character dies, and that is the peak moment of the film. The acting is superb across the board.  Brittany Runs a Marathon This is a redemption movie. The lead character starts as a mess but slowly redeems herself and gets her act together. The writing and direction are on point. Overall, this is an optimistic and excellent movie.  Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind This is an unadulterated garbage movie. One of the most unromantic romance movies of all time. I would expect this from Kate Winslet but not from Jim Carrey. I don't know what he was thinking. The movie tries to be intelligent and thoughtful but doesn't have the wherewith...

Bloodsport Review

Image
Bloodsport is genuinely one of the worst movies ever released. This movie is atrocious.  1. Dialogue The dialogue was awful and unremarkable. I don't even remember a single line of dialogue from this movie, which is supposed to be a violent martial arts movie. Don't they know that even friends bust each other's balls, so why won't enemies will do the same? There was no trash talking, no back and forth or banter, not even one punchy dialogue. 2. Cinematography The cinematography was one of the rare things about this movie that was good. It looked like an 80s action movie. The lighting was also good. 3. Acting   Acting is pretty bad, embarrassingly bad. Jean Claude Van Damme is the worst actor. Granted that he has a thick accent, but so did Arnold, and he became highest paid actor with that accent. Van Damme was not even trying, which was disappointing. Other actors also did a terrible job. They seemed like their friend forced them to act in a play, and they w...

Geek Charming Ranting Review

Image
Geek Charming is a teen romance movie Starring Haley from Modern Family, Sarah Hyland. Your regular nerd falls in love with the popular girl story. In this case, the nerd doesn't like to be called herd but rather a geek. Hyland's character's name is Dylan. She is your typical mean girl who constantly puts down other people to feel good about herself and is both sarcastic and mean, which is no small feat. She is also very shallow and entitled, but surprise surprise, she has a sensitive side that she doesn't want anybody to see, and she has trauma in her past. Hence, she puts on a charade to look happy and well put together, and only our hero can see through the facade and see the real Dylan. The ending was too cliche. Everybody gets a happy ending. Dylan's nemesis, NICOLE, was given no screen time whatsoever, making the movie even worse. We knew nothing about Nicole except for the fact that she and Dylan were enemies. But why should I care if you don'...

The Other Guys Rant

Image
The Other Guys is a 2010 buddy action comedy movie Starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in supporting roles with cameos from Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson. This movie is a satire on Buddy Cop Action movies and is supposed to be funny, but it's not. It's really and seriously unfunny.  This movie is so bad that it's maddening. This is an awful awful movie. This movie is several seemingly connected scenes strung together. This movie is just plain awful. I went in expecting to laugh, but at no point did I laugh or even chuckle. The alleged joke was a nerdy annoying loser has a hot wife and is a chick magnet. Ha ha, so funny? This is the level we are dealing with. Why the heck is that funny? This movie was so bad that it was angering. It genuinely made me mad and irritated.  When you go in with high expectations and are served pure unadulterated cringe, of course, you get angry. This movie was so cringe and painfully unfunny, it physically hurt to watch thi...

Clueless Rant

Image
Clueless is an abhorrent, abomination and abortion of a movie. Clueless was  appropriate title cause I was utterly clueless about what this movie was all about. There was no such thing as continuity or logic in this movie. Things are happening for some reason, and I don't know why I have to care cause the movie doesn't give you any reason to. This movie was seemingly connected events strung together with no purpose.  This movie was saying, Look Alicia is beautiful, and watch her into fashionable funky clothes. It seemed like it was a glorified fashion show pretending to be a movie. I guess it is made for women, not women but teenage girls. It's mind-boggling that it is a popular movie to this day. This was an awkward, clumsy embarrassment of a movie.  Also, She falls in love with her stepbrother what? This was definetly the worst part, and their father or his mother had no qualms about their relationship. What?  Are you kidding me? No one has any problem ...

21 Jump Street Review

Image
21 Jump Street is a 2012 buddy cop high school comedy action movie starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. Let me tell you this movie is an absolute gem. This is how a typical movie action comedy movie is. This ticks off markers in so many areas which is unbelievable. I saw Lethal Weapon recently and it was pure garbage while this movie is the absolute opposite of that movie. It succeeds in all areas that Lethal Weapon failed miserably. Review It starts off by introducing us to our leads. Jenko is the jock and Schmidt is the nerd. After graduating from the same school they run into each other in the police academy. Turns out the jock is not very good at academics while the nerd is not the best athlete. Shocker, Right! So they develop an unlikely friendship. They truly complement each other. One's weakness is others' strength and vice versa. So they are assigned to patrol duty and a bicycle. So obviously they feel disappointed cause they had concocted romantic ideal...

Lethal Weapon Review

Image
Review   Lethal Weapon is a 1987 buddy cop action movie starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Martin Riggs, played by Mel Gibson is a suicidal, reckless, grieving, loose cannon and irresponsible officer who is partnered with Roger Murtaugh, played by Danny Glover is a by the book, middle edged family man. The leads are poles apart and the odd couple dynamic between them is definitely the selling point of the movie but unfortunately,  It is a boring, generic, trite action movie. This movie is so useless that it loses to your most run of mill generic movie. We see the villain are for 2 minutes at the start of the movie, then we see them at the end of the movie at showdown. What? Isn't showdown a last battle between two rival. We literally know nothing about villains. It was the unbelievable. I can't even say that villains were paper thin cardboard cutouts like most action movie cause they were nowhere in sight for the most part of the movie. I have a newfound respec...
