Pulp Fiction

Pulp fiction is a crime drama movie starring Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, and Bruce Willis. It is directed by none other than Quentin Tarantino. This is one of the most popular movies of all time. This movie also established Tarantino as a prominent director.  The film also revived Travolta's career and basically brought it from the dead. The cinematography of this movie is very extremely good and distinctive. The color palette is unique and one of a kind. The characters of the movie are very colorful and dynamic, and they have the most interesting dialogue that you will see. I mean, a hitman literally quoted Bible before killing. The irony is off the chart.  The movie tells multiple stories interweaving with each other, tying up all the loose ends in the end.

Inglorious Basterds

Inglorious Basterds is a war movie starring Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, and Christopher Waltz. It is set in Nazi Germany. This movie is a work of fiction that has no semblance of reality. It has a lot of graphic violence and gore. It also has many high-tension and high-stakes moments, which keep up the excitement throughout the whole movie. Some of the scenes are super tense. Overall,  it is a reasonably watchable movie.

The 13th Warrior

The 13th Warrior is an action-adventure movie set in medieval times, during the Vikings Era. Antonio Banderas plays the 13th warrior who tags along with 12 other Viking warriors who go to a village to defend the people from some bearesque animals. The creatures are enigmatic and mysterious, and they attack in the dead of night. The villagers and warriors can't figure out exactly what these creatures are. Are they human or animal, or are they part human or part animal? These creatures are extremely powerful and just rip through the village, but the Vikings fight back hard, but it is not enough. Eventually, they decide to go where they live to piece together what they are. They find out that they are in some cult, and they kill as a ritual or sacrifice to their gods.

Snatch

Snatch is a crime comedy movie starring Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. It is directed by Guy Ritchie. The writing and casting are top-notch in this movie. The editing is excellent and unlike any other movie that you have seen. The editing is the stand-out part of the movie, besides Brad Pitt, of course. It is bonkers but also super enjoyable and fun. It is also extremely rewatchable.

It is later remade in Bollywood as Fool n Final.

Reservoir Dogs

Reservoir Dogs is a crime action movie starring Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, and Steve Buscemi. It is directed by Quentin Tarantino. This is the first movie of Quentin Tarantino. This movie put Tarantino on the map. The story is told in a non-linear fashion. The movie also contains a lot of graphic scenes of violence and blood. It is an extremely violent movie. Its story is about bank robbers who reel from the death of their partner in crime after a botched robbery attempt. They also try to piece together who the rat is. The movie answers this question before the characters find out, which makes the scenes more interesting. The last scene is a Mexican stand-off between the Police and the robbers. The movie ends with a lot of blood and gore, just like it started.

The Gentleman

The Gentleman is a crime action movie starring Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding, Charlie Hunman, and Hugh Grant. The cinematography is excellent in this movie. It looks pretty great. The script is written pretty well. The story is about some criminals and businessmen who are trying to outsmart and outwit each other.

V for Vendetta

V for Vendetta is a dystopian political action movie starring Hugo Weaving, Natalie Portman, and Stephan Fry. The acting is excellent across the board. Natalie Portman does an excellent job playing her character. Other actors also do a good job. The cinematography and product design is also of high caliber. The dystopian world they want to show looks bleak.

The movie is set in future Britain, where a far-right government has turned authoritarian and oppressive. The media has sold its soul and become a propaganda machine for the ruling government. Propaganda is rampant in the country.

Things change when the government is threatened by a single person named V, who wears a mask and exposes the government, summoning people to rise against the government. It is a philosophical movie, but it is also a cautionary tale. It deals with themes like government suppression and propaganda and how one person can cause a significant change.
The movie is not only entertaining but also thought-provoking. How many movies entertain you and make you think at the same time?

True Romance

True Romance is a crime romance movie starring Christian Slater,  Patricia Arquette, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, and Brad Pitt. To make a romantic movie, you must ensure the romance is believable. So much of a romantic film hinges on whether or not the actors can successfully sell their romance, and this movie hits a home run in the front. The lead actors had natural chemistry together. I was not bored at any point watching this movie. A movie can be bad or good, but a movie cannot be boring. The movie was about a couple of youngsters falling into a whirlwind romance and living a fast life just having the time of their life, which is cut short by the mob and police involvement.

Office Space

Office Space is a black comedy movie. It satirizes the work life of a software company. It is told from an ordinary IT employee perspective,  who is weary of this soul-sucking job. It portrays the disaffected IT workers who feel trapped and hopeless in a dead-end job with overbearing bosses breathing down their necks and the constant looming threat of getting fired.

The Goonies

The Goonies is a kid's movie of the 80s, so we can safely assume that it is a bad movie. And our assumption will be correct; this is a terrible movie. It is incredibly boring and tedious. The only good thing about this movie was the character Sloth, but everything else was useless, and yes, the fat kid was also good, and that's pretty much it. Everyone else failed to leave any mark whatsoever. Josh Brolin was especially bad. He is such an unlikeable person. Sean Austin was also bad. Both actresses were terrible too. It was an extremely forgettable movie, not special in any regard whatsoever. The villains were boring. Basically, everything in this movie was awful, and so was the movie itself.

From Dusk Till Dawn

From Dusk Till Dawn is a heist/action and vampire/horror movie starring George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, and Harvey Keitel. It is directed by Top Gun's director Tony Scott. The cinematography is brilliant in this movie. The movie looks excellent. It starts off as an action heist/chase movie but changes genre in the middle and becomes a vampire horror film. However, gore is present throughout the movie. The transition is smooth and doesn't feel jarring or awkward. The characters are well-written and fully thought out. The action scenes are also well done. The writing is the best part of the movie. It is a movie I would recommend if someone asks me for a good movie.

Bloodsport is an action movie starring Jean Claude Van Damme. This is Van Damme's first movie as the lead actor, and this movie is one of the worst movie action movies of all time. It is incredibly boring and tedious; You might as well sit in front of a wall and stare at it. It is one and a half hours long, but it feels like two and a half hours long. Everything in this movie is incompetently done. None of the actors in the movie can act. The movie is literally based on a compulsive liar who lied about his achievements on which this movie is based.

Happiest Season is a romantic comedy movie starring Kristen Stewart and Mckenzie Davis. This movie feels like a Meet The Parents type movie. The cinematography is top-notch in this movie. The casting and writing are also pretty decent. It is more of a drama movie than a comedy movie. The pacing is also pretty good. Overall, it is a fun Christmas movie.

Jingle All The Way is a Christmas comedy movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The premise is pretty basic. Howard tries to find a Turbo Man toy for his son, but it is impossible to find since it is the most selling action figure in the world. Not only he has to find the toy, but he also has to come back home in time. Also, another father is after the same toy. Will he find the toy and come home in time before it's too late?

Kindergarten Cop is a comedy movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and a bunch of kids who rain down hell on him. Will he be able to handle these boisterous and rambunctious kids, or is he too big to control them? Also, he has to track down a dangerous criminal's ex-wife before he catches up to her and kills her. It is an absolute joy to watch, especially Arnie trying to control little kids and failing laughably. The writing and casting are brilliant in this movie. This is a super fun and laugh-out-loud film.

True Lies

True Lies is an action comedy movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jaime Lee Curtis. It is directed by James Cameron. James Cameron is a Sci-Fi director, but he excels in this movie action comedy. This is a pretty hilarious movie, and on the other hand,  it is also one of the best action movies too. The writing and casting are top-notch. Casting Jaime Lee Curtis is definitely a bad decision; otherwise, it's a damn good movie from start to finish. It's a long movie clocking in 150 minutes, but you don't feel it cause it is so entertaining and fun. The action scenes are competently shot and hold up pretty well, even today.

Commando

Commando is an action movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is the most 80s and most Arnold movie that you will ever watch. It is just guns, action, and blasts from start to finish, but it also includes a great female lead. She is one of the best female leads in an action movie ever. She is cute and feminine. She is among my favorite movie characters of all time. Her innocence is so damn cute. It clocks in 90 minutes of run time but crams in 3 hours' worth of action scenes. It has the highest action scenes to runtime ratio and lowest story-to-runtime ratio.

Twins

Twins is a buddy comedy movie starring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The premise is a tall, educated, handsome man has a twin who is short ugly and a crook. It is a pretty neat idea to make twins the absolute opposite of each other, but it is absolutely squandered by the absolute travesty which is this movie's writing. The writing in this movie is terrible. There are barely two to three jokes in this movie. It looked like they were not even trying. It starts off with a creative premise, but later down the do, it becomes a cliché action movie where our leads are after a McGuffin. It's pretty disappointing, to be honest. This movie definitely had some serious potential, but they screwed up epically. In the end, it ends up being a generic, run-of-the-mill buddy movie.

Predator

Predator is a typical action movie in the first half, but after the first half, it turns into a survival horror movie. The Predator is shown only for a few scenes, which makes him extra scary cause we fear most of what we can't see. It starts as a regular 80s action film with guns, blasts, and muscle-bound characters. However, it also hints at something extremely dangerous lurking in the shadows, which soon reveals itself and completely changes the tone of the movie. Changing genres is a risky prospect, it can backfire pretty easily, but it works pretty well in this movie. Arnold is the prey for the first time in his film career. The predator is scary and intimidating. The writing and casting of this movie are pretty excellent. The dialogue is also pretty good. Overall, it is an excellent movie with an iconic villain.

Predator 2

Predator 2 is an action movie starring Danny Glover. The premise of this movie is what will happen if Predator comes to L.A. It seems like an okay idea, but the execution is abysmal. The direction is way off, and so are the action scenes, which are the bedrock of any Predator movie. The story is also pretty boring and uninteresting. It does not give you any reason to invest in the story or characters. So even when they die, you don't care, which makes for a pretty lousy movie experience. The characters are dull and boring. The Ending is the last and worst part of the movie.

Red Heat

Red Head is a buddy cop action movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Belushi. Arnold is Russian in this movie, He is actually a Russian cop who comes to the US to take a Russian drug dealer back to the Soviet Union, and Jim Belushi assists him in finding and arresting him. The movie is dull and flat. The cinematography is okay, and it is the only OK part about this movie. The movie is extremely mediocre and not worth watching.

Beverly Hills Cop

Beverly Hills Cop is an action crime movie starring Eddie Murphy. This is essentially a revenge movie and less of an action movie
Eddie Murphy's friend gets killed pretty early in the movie, and from then on, Murphy tries to solve the murder and bring justice to the perpetrators. The movie is dull and boring. The movie has no redeeming qualities. It is awful through and through.

Road House

Road House is an action movie starring Patrick Swayze. The story goes like this, John Dalton, played by Swayze, takes a job as a bouncer at a bar filled with screw-ups and criminals. Swayze's character brings order and structure to the bar and goes on to butt heads with the crime boss, who terrorizes and runs the town. He stands up to the villain and refuses to back down. He eats up his goons and protects other people from him. Although people are scared of him initially, they slowly rise after seeing Dalton's heroics. In the end, they take him out and his goons.

Jaws

Jaws is an action thriller movie starring Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss. It is directed by Steven Spielberg. Jaws is a classic movie of the 70s. This is really a bad movie. It is pretty boring and flat. This is a thriller movie, allegedly, so you are supposed to feel nervousness and excitement, and all sorts of emotions, but when I was watching this movie, the only thing I felt was perpetual boredom. It was a tedious and uninteresting movie from start to finish. I didn't feel intrigued or invested in any of the characters. The shark looks unbelievably fake. Even a ten-year-old will not believe that that prop is anything remotely resembling a shark. And if your bat is broken, then it won't matter how good of a player you are. You won't be able to score much. The same goes for this movie. If your villain is a cardboard cutout, then how would the audience feel anything but contempt for your film?
