Remake Priyadarshan Movies
1. Hera Pheri












Surprisingly, everyone's favorite movie Hera Pheri is a remake of 1989 Malayalam Film Ramaji Rao Speaking. It was remade in Hindi by Priyadarshan while Neeraj Vora wrote the Screenplay.
Phir Hera Pheri was not a total remake but it was largely inspired by Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
2. Bhagam Bhaag
The origin place of numerous memes Bhagam Bhag is largely inspired by the Malayalam Movie Mannar Mathai Speaking which is a sequel to Ramaji Rao Speaking which was remade into Hera Pheri.
3. Hungama
One of the Classical movies of the 2000s again was a remake of the Malayalam film Poochakkoru Mookkuthi which was also made by Priyadarshan. The script of Hungama is also written by Neeraj Vora.
4. Hulchul
Yet another classic movie from the 2000s Hulchul was a remake of the Malayalam film Godfather. Hulchul is very similar to Hungama in terms of genre and acting. The story is generic where two rival families whose son and daughter fall in love with each other and then chaos ensues. It is also a hate-to-love story movie where our lead characters initially hate each other but slowly with time grow fond of each other and their love ends bad blood between them and brings together two rival families together.
5. Chup Chup Ke
Chup Chup Ke is not only a mine of memes but also one of the funniest Hindi movie of all time.
It has Rajpal Yadav who was at the height of his comedy carrier.
Chup Chup Ke was a remake of the Malayalam Movie Punjabi House.
6. Dhol
Dhol is one of the most popular movies of Bollywood. It is a remake of the Malayalam Film Harihar Nagar.
7. Khatta Meetha
It is a remake of Priyadarshan's previous 1988 Malayalam Film Valankalude Nadu.
It was also bollywood debut for Trisha Krishnan. For a comedy movie, it deals with dark themes like corruption, political collusion, and assassination.
8. De Dana Dan
The story is a partial adaptation of Hollywood film Screwed and some scenes were taken from Priyadarshan's own Malayalam film Vettam.
De Dana Dan is one of the funniest movies of Akshay Kumar's carrier. It also has an ensemble cast of well-known Bollywood actors.
9. Bhool Bhulaiya
Bhool Bhulaiya is a remake of the Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu. Being a comedy horror movie, it aptly balances elements of horror and light-hearted fun. Which could feel jarring if done incorrectly.
