Buffy The Vampire Slayer S1 Ep 12 Commentary

This was the final episode.So episode starts off with Xander rehearsing to propose Buffy.The moment we all been waiting for all season.We all know how it's gonna end.Demonstrably,Xander gets rejected.Then we hearthe classic,I don't see you that way.I see you as a friend.Xander says a dialogue 'I don't handle reject well which is wierd considering the practice I have.Then She tries to soften the blow and then He says didn't need that and exits the scene.Then He asks Willow for the prom and She rejects him too,which was completely warranted.In the next scene,we find out world is going to end but before Master kills Buffy.Giles discusses this with Angel but Buffy overhears it.Then She has a big meltdown and decides to jump ship.But,Multiple students die and this traumatises Willow.When Buffy finds out She comforts her and decides to confront the Master.Master kills her with ease.Then the evil creatures attack the library where Buffy gang is except for Xander and Angel who find her dead but She out of the blue wakes up.She then kills the Master and everyone goes to the prom.And did I mention She fights the Master in her prom dress.I was checked out from the start and couldn't care less.I am thinking of throwing in the towel with this one after the first season.Maybe I will not.I don't know.We have to see about that.
